AlMadinahQuranCenter ("we," "us," or "our") teaches live online Quran, Tajweed, Hifz, Islamic Studies and Arabic Language classes to students around the world. This policy explains what information we collect through our website ("Site") and classes ("Services"), and how we use, share and protect it. Using our Site or Services means you're okay with the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Booking & contact details: full name, email, phone/WhatsApp number and country, submitted through our "Book Free Trial Week" form or Contact page.
• Student details: the student's age, preferred tutor gender, and preferred time zone, submitted when booking a trial so we can match an appropriate tutor and schedule.
• Messages you send us, by email, WhatsApp, or our contact form, including anything you choose to share, such as learning goals or scheduling notes.
• Basic technical data our hosting provider collects automatically, such as IP address and browser type, purely to keep the Site running securely.

Information about a child student is always submitted by a parent or guardian, not the child, and we only collect what's reasonably needed to schedule and deliver classes.

2. How We Use It

• Responding to inquiries and scheduling free trial classes.
• Matching students with a suitable tutor based on stated preferences (gender, time zone, level).
• Communicating with you about classes, scheduling changes, and progress.
• Sharing payment instructions for enrolled students (we don't collect or store card details ourselves, see Section 3).
• Keeping our Site and Services secure and working properly.
• Meeting our legal obligations and enforcing our Terms & Policies.

We never sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Who We Share It With

We only share information with:

• Our tutors, so they can prepare for and deliver your classes;
• The services that make booking and classes possible: Google (which receives and stores form submissions), Cloudflare (which runs a brief, invisible check to filter out spam/bot submissions), WhatsApp (for chat-based enquiries), and Zoom or Google Meet (for the class itself);
• If required by law, or to protect the safety or rights of AlMadinahQuranCenter, our students, or others.

We don't hand your information to third parties for their own marketing.

4. International Transfers

We teach families across Canada, the UK, USA, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Europe and beyond, and the services we rely on (Section 3) may store or process data outside your home country. We take reasonable steps to keep your information protected wherever it's handled.

5. Children's Privacy

Many of our students are minors. Every booking or enrollment for a child is made by a parent or legal guardian, who is confirming they're that child's parent/guardian and accepting this policy on the child's behalf. Classes are live, 1-on-1 sessions with a tutor, and we encourage parents to stay reasonably available during a minor's sessions.

6. Local Storage & Cookies

Our Site stores a couple of small, functional preferences in your browser: your light/dark mode choice, and whether you've already seen the trial-class popup this session, so it isn't shown repeatedly. We don't currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

7. How Long We Keep It

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Services and meet our own record-keeping obligations. Trial inquiries that don't turn into enrollment are kept for a limited follow-up period and then deleted.

8. Keeping It Secure

We use reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure, including bot/spam filtering on our forms. That said, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is ever completely secure.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (including under UK/EU data protection law), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, object to or restrict how we use it, or request a copy of it. To exercise any of these, email us at info@almadinahqurancenter.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

10. Marketing Messages

If we ever send you promotional messages about new courses or offers, you can opt out at any time by contacting us at info@almadinahqurancenter.com. You'll still receive service-related messages (like class scheduling) tied to any active enrollment.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Site links out to services like WhatsApp, Zoom and Google Meet. This policy only covers our own Site and Services, we'd encourage you to check those providers' own privacy policies too.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally, with a revised "Last updated" date posted here. Continuing to use the Site or Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
